Privacy Policy — RetroRoadRacer
Short version: RetroRoadRacer does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. The game has no internet access, no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Everything the game remembers — your high scores, coins and settings — stays on your own device.
1. Who is responsible
This app is developed and published by an individual developer:
- Developer: Dilip Koranne
- Email: pratham11110@gmail.com
- Phone: +91 98272 47804
You can contact us at the address above with any question about this policy.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, store on our servers, or share any of the following:
- Name, email address, phone number or any other contact detail
- Account or login information (the game has no sign-in of any kind)
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, camera, microphone or file access
- Device identifiers, advertising ID or IP address
- Usage analytics, crash reports or telemetry
- Payment information (the game has no purchases; in-game coins are earned by playing and have no real-world value)
We have no servers and receive no data from the app whatsoever.
3. Data stored on your device
So the game can remember your progress between sessions, it saves a small amount of
information locally using Android's standard app-private storage
(SharedPreferences, file name retro_road_racer). This data never
leaves your device through the app. It consists of:
- Best score, best distance and most coins collected, per game mode
- Total in-game coins and which cars you have unlocked
- Your selected car
- Your settings: sound, vibration, screen shake, effects level, steering pad side
- A flag recording that the first-race control hints have been shown
This information is not personal data — it cannot identify you. It is readable only by the app itself, in line with Android's app sandbox.
How to delete it: uninstalling RetroRoadRacer removes all of it. You can also clear it without uninstalling via Settings → Apps → RetroRoadRacer → Storage and cache → Clear storage on your device.
4. Android backup
The app allows Android's standard Auto Backup feature, which means the saved data described in section 3 may be copied to your own Google account backup and restored when you reinstall the app or set up a new phone. This backup is handled entirely by Android and Google, is tied to your own account, and the developer has no access to it and receives no notification about it. You can turn Android backup off at any time in your device settings (typically Settings → System → Backup).
5. Permissions
The app declares exactly one Android permission:
VIBRATE— to buzz the phone briefly when your car crashes. This is a normal permission, it grants no access to any information, and you can switch the effect off inside the game under Settings → Vibration.
The app does not declare the INTERNET permission. Android
therefore prevents it from making any network connection at all, which means it is
technically incapable of sending your data anywhere.
6. No ads, no analytics, no third parties
The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting service, no social network integration and no third-party tracking library of any kind. No data is shared with or sold to anyone, because none is collected.
7. Children's privacy
RetroRoadRacer is a simple cartoon racing game suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either. It complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar rules by design: there is nothing to collect, no way to communicate with other users, and no advertising.
8. Your rights
Data-protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 give you rights over personal data held about you — including access, correction, deletion and portability. Since we hold no personal data about you at all, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete on our side; the data described in section 3 is entirely under your own control on your own device. If you have a question or complaint, please write to pratham11110@gmail.com and we will respond.
9. Security
Because no data is transmitted or stored outside your device, there is no server to breach. Locally saved data is protected by Android's standard app-sandbox isolation, which prevents other apps from reading it.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version of the game adds an online feature — the updated policy will be published at the same location with a new effective date, and the change will be described here before the feature ships.
